Flowing and growing with energy….
For the last 4 years I have learned to let energy guide me. It’s been, and I believe will be for a while a continuous push and pull between trusting an invisible force field, versus my very practical brain.
For example, I ate ice cream every Friday night for at least 10 years, part because I loved ice cream, and part a ritual I created. Over the last 4 years I have eaten ice cream on very few occasions, and only when I feel like it. The energy around ice cream shifted. I moved from my home state of 50+ years, to a new state 2.5 years ago on an energetic pull. I felt 100 percent at home in my new state until very recently. I’m feeling that magnetic pull, stir again and now I need to see if I will rationalize it away, or trust the invisible field to guide me. This beautiful force field of energy shifts all the time and what could feel 100 percent right for you now (job, partner, food, friends, homes, geographic location) could suddenly not feel so right in the future. To trust that pull, to change, grow and shift can be unnerving, and yet when you do lean into it you feel more alive, more grounded and more in touch with the true essence of yourself.
Sometimes I act quickly on the shifts and sometimes I take my own sweet time to watch how it unfolds. Will I be led, will there be clear signs, does the feeling wane, or is it persistent. Before any huge shifts in my life, I take all the time I need to see if that energetic pull remains strong.
I encourage everyone to start small. What suddenly feels old, stale and outdated? Is it your clothing? Hair style? Try walking into a store and see if you are attracted to a new color, you never wore before, or style. Look online for a new hair color or cut? How do you feel when you look at the photo, does it excite you? Then give it a try! Do you always eat the same food choices but all of a sudden you are curious about Indian Cuisine? Book a reservation or grab some takeout and take note of the experience.
By taking these small steps, as it builds the courage needed to follow energy when it asks more of you. Leave the job you have outgrown, the friend group, the partner, your home state, etc. those are large shifts and ones that will require bravery, courage and TRUST.
Whenever we leave something, we have energetically outgrown, we create room for something more in energetic resonance to appear. This is one of the principals of Feng Shui as well, for example if there is no room in your house for a partner (a crowded dining table with only a place for one to eat, stuffed closets, one bedside table not two), how is their room for your new partners energy in your space?
So, baby steps! Find one small area of your life where you are ready for a change. Take that bold step to make it, and then REALLY pay attention to how you feel after you have both released the old and then welcomed in the new!
